FAQs
Does the correction pen ink bleed through paper?
No, the ink from our correction pen doesn't bleed through paper. It's essentially a white correction fluid in pen form. It remains on the surface, covering the error with an opaque white layer. It won't soak the paper because the amount dispensed is carefully regulated. It covers the front of the page, even on regular notebook paper, without leaking or wetting the back. It is made to make neat corrections on any kind of paper.
Do I need to cap the correction pen tightly to prevent it from drying out?
Yes, after using a correction pen, you should always replace the cap firmly. If the correction pen's quick-drying fluid is left uncapped, the tip may become dry or clogged. Tightly capping it guarantees that it won't clog the next time. To get the fluid flowing again, shake the pen and lightly press the tip on scrap paper if it seems dry when you first start. Its usable life will be extended if it is properly capped.
Is the correction pen refillable?
No, there is no way to refill the correction pen. The pen is self-contained and contains correction fluid. You would replace the pen with a new one after the fluid inside is depleted (or if it eventually dries out after a very long time). Refilling the pen would be messy and might cause air bubbles or clogs, so it is not advised. The pen is made to be used only once (until empty) to maintain the proper consistency and flow. There is enough correction fluid in each pen to make numerous corrections before running out.
Are the correction products non-toxic and safe for use by children?
Yes, all of our correction supplies—tape, pen, and fluid—are safe for everyday use and non-toxic. They meet ASTM D-4236 and other safety standards. Although the fluids are made to avoid strong toxins, it is best to use correction fluid in an area with good ventilation because it does smell like a solvent. Young children shouldn't use correction fluid or pens unsupervised due to the possibility of mess, but if they do get any on their skin, it's safe to wash it off. Due to its dry process (no mess, no odour), the tape is extremely safe.
Do the correction products have any odor?
The correction fluid and pen (which coWe use a formula with less odour than previous solvent-based fluids, so the correction fluid and pen (which contain fluid) have a low odour. When you use them, you'll notice a faint smell, similar to that of mild paint, but it's not overpowering or strong, and it goes away as the fluid dries. However, since the correction tape is essentially a dry adhesive tape with a coating, it has absolutely no smell. You may prefer the tape if you have a high sensitivity to smells. We would categorise the tape as odor-free and the fluid's odour as mild overall.ntains fluid) have a low odor – we use a formula with reduced odor compared to older solvent-based fluids. You’ll notice a slight smell (like a mild paint smell) when you use them, but it’s not very strong or overwhelming, and it dissipates as the fluid dries. The correction tape, on the other hand, has no odor at all since it’s basically a dry adhesive tape with coating. If you are very sensitive to smells, you might prefer the tape for that reason. Overall, we’d classify the fluid’s odor as mild and the tape as odor-free.
