FAQs
Is the correction tape refillable?
No, you cannot refill our correction tape dispensers. They are self-contained devices; after the tape in the dispenser runs out, you simply swap it out for a new one. It is small and designed to be used only once (until the tape runs out). Because refill mechanisms can occasionally jam or misalign, we made this decision to guarantee a consistent, tangle-free experience with the tape. The good news is that you can dispose of the plastic dispenser properly because it is composed of recyclable materials in many places.
Are the correction products non-toxic and safe for use by children?
Yes, all of our correction supplies—tape, pen, and fluid—are safe for everyday use and non-toxic. They meet ASTM D-4236 and other safety standards. Although the fluids are made to avoid strong toxins, it is best to use correction fluid in an area with good ventilation because it does smell like a solvent. Young children shouldn't use correction fluid or pens unsupervised due to the possibility of mess, but if they do get any on their skin, it's safe to wash it off. Due to its dry process (no mess, no odour), the tape is extremely safe.
Can the correction tape be written over immediately?
Yes, writing on correction tape right away after application is one of its benefits. No drying time is required. You can immediately take a pen and write on the tape strip after simply placing the tape over the error. Like ordinary paper, it takes pencil and most pen inks (ballpoint, gel) well. Because of this, making quick corrections in notebooks or forms is very convenient.
Do the correction products have any odor?
We use a formula with less odour than previous solvent-based fluids, so the correction fluid and pen (which contain fluid) have a low odour. When you use them, you'll notice a faint smell, similar to that of mild paint, but it's not overpowering or strong, and it goes away as the fluid dries. However, since the correction tape is essentially a dry adhesive tape with a coating, it has absolutely no smell. You may prefer the tape if you have a high sensitivity to smells. We would categorise the tape as odor-free and the fluid's odour as mild overall.
