FAQs
Is the glue non-toxic and safe for children?
Yes, children can safely use our glue stick under supervision because it is non-toxic. The formula doesn't contain any hazardous chemicals because it is acid-free and complies with safety regulations (EN-71, ASTM D-4236). It's the same kind of glue that's commonly used in classrooms. Although it is obviously not intended for ingestion, it is completely safe and easily removed if a child gets some on their fingers or skin by accident.
Does the glue stick leave any residue or cause wrinkling of the paper?
No, the glue stick applies smoothly and transparently, and when it dries, it won't leave any sticky residue behind. When used correctly, it is also made to avoid wrinkling paper. Apply the glue evenly for the best results; this will give the paper a strong hold without soaking it. It won't crinkle as it dries like liquid glues can. Your craft or paper project will remain flat and tidy.
How should the glue stick be stored to ensure its longevity?
Store your glue stick in a cool, dry location with the cap on tight to preserve its quality. Don't leave it uncapped (which will dry out the glue) or expose it to excessive heat (which could make it too soft or liquidy). The glue stick will last a long time if you make sure the cap "clicks" on after every use. When not in use, it's also a good idea to keep it out of direct sunlight.
Is the glue stick suitable for school projects and crafting?
Of course. It offers a firm grip on paper, cardboard, poster board, and numerous other common craft supplies and is made for easy, mess-free application. This makes it ideal for general office use, collages, scrapbooking, and school projects. It is the preferred adhesive for arts and crafts because it is simple for children to use, dries clear, and is easy to clean up.
Can the glue stick be used for photo projects and scrapbooking?
Yes, the glue stick is safe and perfect for scrapbooking and photo mounting. Since it doesn't yellow or deteriorate your photos over time, its acid-free nature is crucial for photo projects. Additionally, it offers a delicate yet strong bond that won't bleed through or harm photos. Because glue sticks are neat and archival-friendly, many scrapbookers prefer them for affixing photos, tickets, and other memorabilia.
How long does it take for the glue to dry after application?
The stick's glue solidifies rather rapidly. After a few seconds of application, it usually begins to grab. You only have a few seconds (perhaps five to ten seconds) to reposition the two pieces of paper before it becomes tacky. For paper-on-paper bonding, it typically dries and solidifies completely in about a minute. The item will usually be firmly stuck down in less than five minutes, though thicker materials or heavier applications may take a little longer.
Is the glue washable from clothing if it gets on by accident?
Yes, you can wash the glue stick's formula. You can use soap and warm water to remove any glue that gets on your clothes or fabric. Rinse or launder the garment to get rid of the glue while it's still wet. It usually comes out in the wash, even if it dries on clothing (you may need to pretreat with laundry detergent or scrub lightly). Because it was created with school use in mind, the glue is easy to clean off of hands, tables, and clothing.
