Does the cleaning solution work on all types of whiteboards, including glass boards and magnetic boards?

Yes, all common whiteboard surfaces can be cleaned with our whiteboard cleaning solution. This includes glass dry-erase boards, porcelain/enamel whiteboards, and conventional melamine whiteboards. It removes marker ink from any of these surfaces without harming them. Because the formula is nonabrasive, it won't remove any special coatings from magnetic boards or scratch or cloud glass boards. In fact, it works well as a general cleaner for any writing surface that is smooth.

How effective is the solution at removing old, dried-on marker stains?

Boards with old ink can be effectively revived with our cleaning solution. Simply spray the solution on the area and allow it to sit for a few seconds if you have dried, stubborn marker stains or "ghosting," which is faint writing that persists after erasing. Next, use the whiteboard eraser or a cloth to wipe. The board will frequently return to like-new condition after it removes the old pigment and residue. This cleaner makes it much easier to remove even stains that have been there for weeks. It is designed to efficiently dissolve dry-erase ink.

Does the solution have a pleasant or strong odor?

The solution smells nice and mild. We've made sure it doesn't overpower, so you won't be hit by a strong chemical odour when using it in a classroom or meeting room. It has a faint, fresh scent that fades fast. Additionally, it doesn't contain the potent ammonia fumes found in some cleaners. In terms of smell, you'll find it to be fairly mild to use overall.

Are there any special instructions for using the solution?

The solution is very easy to use: just mist the whiteboard surface lightly (focussing on areas with stains or heavy ink), then wipe with a paper towel or soft cloth. It is ready to use straight from the bottle, so there's no need to dilute it. Our solution doesn't require hard scrubbing, so it's a good idea to avoid using rough or abrasive scrubbers on your whiteboard as they can scratch the surface. For extremely stubborn stains, you could spray, wait ten seconds, and then wipe. Generally speaking, frequent use will keep your board in excellent condition. Additionally, it's best to wait a few seconds for the board to dry after using the solution to clean it before writing again.

How often should the solution be used to maintain a clean whiteboard?

Using the solution roughly once a week is a good maintenance routine for a board that is used frequently. Use the spray as soon as you see marker residue or ink ghosting. A weekly cleaning keeps the board looking bright and avoids buildup in offices or classrooms where it is erased and rewritten every day. You may only need to use solution to clean the board once a month or as needed if it is used less frequently. To ensure that there are no ink traces left after a period of inactivity, it's also a good idea to give the board a quick spray and wipe. The board's surface will last longer with routine cleaning.

How long does a bottle of the solution typically last with regular use?

An 8 oz (240 ml) bottle usually lasts several months when used regularly. If you clean a medium-sized board once a week, for instance, you may use a few sprays each time; that bottle may last three to four months or longer. Naturally, the size of your board and the amount of spray you use will determine this. You can finish it more quickly—possibly in a month or two—if you have several large boards and clean them often, like every day. However, the bottle lasts a long time for the majority of individual or single-office use cases. You don't need to use a lot of it for each cleaning because it's an effective concentrated formula.
